Bulgarian Group Busted in Netherlands for Cannabis Growing
The Dutch police have arrested late Saturday evening 10 people, all Bulgarian and Turkish citizens, in a large marijuana plantation.
Seven women and three men have been detained in a small town of 30 km southwest from Amsterdam, in western Netherlands. The plantation was known so far for tulip growing.
During the raid police seized anywhere between 10 000 and 15 000 cannabis plants and 150 000 roots for seedlings.
The marijuana plantation was located behind some green houses. The owner of the property had been renting it for a long time and has not been involved in the marijuana deal, according to the Dutch police. The case is being investigated further.
