A curious incident occurred downtown in Bulgarian capital Sofia Thursday evening, when a car loaded with tomatoes made an unpermitted stop in front of the parade entrance of the Parliament building.

The driver walked out and proceeded to throw tomatoes from his car at the building.

Police swiftly intervened and detained him, after which it became clear the 36-year-old was slightly inebriated.

Traffic into the Narodno Sabranie Square suffered slight jamming as a result of the incident.
