NATO will Deploy Patriot Air Defense Systems in Ukraine
NATO has announced plans to send Patriot air defense systems to the embattled nation
The Libyan government has denied the report that Khamis, Colonel Muammar Gaddafi's youngest son, has been killed in a NATO attack.
Libyan government spokesman Mussa Ibrahim has described the claims made by rebel forces as"very dirty lies", stating the rebels were trying to cover the murder of civilians they committed in that way.
According to rebel forcess, Khamis was among some 32 people dead following aNATO air strike on an operation centre in the western town of Zlitan.
A spokeswoman has said NATO did not target individuals but was investigating the claim that Khamis Gaddafi had been killed, Radio Australia News reports.
Zlitan is located 140 km southeast of Tripoli. Khamis Gaddafi runs Libya's 32nd Brigade, which has been fighting the rebels in the town.
This is the second report that Gaddafi's youngest son has been killed this year. In March, it was rumored that he died as a jet crashed into a compound in Tripoli where he was said to be.
In April, the Colonel's son Saif and three of his grandchildren were killed by a Nato airstrike on his house.
