Rock legends Judas Priest and Whitesnake are preparing for their July 8 gig in Sofia, Bulgaria, part of the Sofia Rocks 2011 festival.

The mammoths are set to be supported by the trio of US glam rockers Slade, UK heavy metallers Saxon and inventive rockers Mike and the Mechanics at the event set to run at the CSKA (Narodna Armiya) Stadium in downtown Sofia.

Judas Priest, who are on their last great world tour named "Epitaph," announced they will spend in Sofia all free days between their Thessaloniki and Istanbul shows (July 6-10) to relax and take the opportunity to get to know Bulgaria better.

According to information by organizers Balkan Entertainment Company, Whitesnake frontman David Coverdale appears to have the most intriguing catering requirements from amongst the throng of rock stars.

Those include not only fine Bulgarian wines, but also mineral volcanic water from Fiji, and an absolute ban on onions and broccoli in his otherwise vegetable-heavy diet.

Metal gods Judas Priest, on their part, have revealed not only their fieriness by requesting to be supplied with plenty of chilli and tabasco, but also a milder side when also ordering unlimited quantities of chocolate at their disposal.
