The bus, which overturned at the Trakia highway shorty after midnight, killing eight people, was owned by Enturtrans.

In an interview for the morning broadcast of bTV, a representative of the company disputed allegations that the bus operator was Burgas Tour 90.

According to Bulgaria's Trade Registry, Burgas Tour 90 is owned by 21-year old Turkish citizen Burak Saglam. The bus company was set up in 2010 with a founding capital of BGN 10.

Salgam has also been part of the management of the Enturtrans bus company, which is likewise owned by Turkish citizens Eniz Chengel, Munver Chengel and Esat Chengel.

Both bus transportation firms are headquartered in the Black Sea city of Burgas and have the same address.

Enturtrans was declared bankrupt in February 2011 with a ruling of the Burgas District Court.

The court-appointed receiver was tasked with selling the assets of the company and settling the debts.

According to company documents, Enturtrans had piled up debts of BGN 3 623 000 at the time of the bankruptcy announcement, most of which were to be paid under loan contracts and leasing agreements for buses.

The company also owed its workers a total of BGN 15 918 in unpaid salaries and and BGN 17 408 in unpaid health and social insurance contributions.

The bus crash early Wednesday claimed eight lives and left 22 injured. The bus, carrying 31 passengers on board, was traveling from Sofia to the Black Sea city of Burgas when the accident occurred.
