Ahmed Dogan, the controversial leader of Bulgaria's ethnic Turkish party Movement for Rights and Freedoms, is selling a seaside estate, according to tabloid Republika.

The property is located in the Otmanli locality near the city of Burgas in the south, and is valued BGN 2 M

It has land of around 17 acres, and borders directly on the sea, featuring a private beach and yacht pier.

The villa itself is reported to be fully furnished and luxuriously equipped.

There are many allegations of corruption and dealing in power against Ahmed Dogan, yet note of them has been substantiated in court.

In February the last-instance court acquitted Dogan of charges in a high-profile embezzlement trial.

The ethnic Turkish leader has also become notorious with several tongue-in-cheek statements bluntly suggesting he and the party leadership are in control of "rings of companies" on which many of their voters and others in Bulgaria depend.
