The Prosecutor's Office officially charged Tuesday the former director of the State-owned Bulgarian Railroad Company, BDZ, with premeditated dereliction.

The charges stem from a purchase of 30 sleep cars for price higher than the market one. In November, 2008, Monov signed a contract with the Swiss company AVEREX for the cars, inflicting damages to BDZ in the amount of over BGN 26 M.

The ex BDZ Head has been ordered a BGN 5 000 bail.
