Bulgaria: Japan Lifts Tsunami Warning after Strongest Earthquake Aftershock A snapshot from Japan's NHK TV picturing the new strong earthquake hit the region Thursday night.

No tsunami has been detected along Japan's northeast coast in spite of the warning issued as a result of the 7.4-magnitude earthquake that hit the country late Thursday night.

Japan's state TV channel NHK has announced that the estimated arrival time of the tsunami has passed, and that as of 12:40 am on Friday local time no tsunami hit the coast of the Miyagi prefecture.

Japan's meteorological agency has lifted the warning it issued after the 7.4-magnitude earthquake occurred at 11:32 pm on Thursday local time.

As of 12:55 am local time, the Japanese nuclear safety agency said no change in the radiation levels in the affected region has been detected.

According to the Tokyo Electric Power company, TEPCO, Thursday night's earthquake, which has been the strongest aftershock ever after the devastating March 11 earthquake with a magnitude of 9.0, has not caused new damages to the Fukushima Daiichi and Fukushima Daini NPPs.

Only the Onagawa NPP appears to have been affected as two out of the three power transmission lines there were disabled by the earthquake.

No deaths have been reported as a result of the aftershock but there are numerous reports of people being injured in the earthquake.
