Bulgarian Cargo Shippers Protest Against Fuel Prices

Business » ENERGY | March 14, 2011, Monday // 07:47

The union of Bulgarian cargo shippers has decided to take up effective protest measures Monday against what they see as unfair prices of fuels.

Truck drivers accross the country will be loading their tanks with the minimum amount of fuel in a symbolic measure designed both to show that they are unwilling to pay and to ensure their presence at many gas stations.

The union has promised that this is only the start and new protests are in store if the government does not tackle what they claim to be unfair price formation.

Sunday thousands of regular Bulgarians across major towns and cities also marched or drove out in protests against fuel prices.
