The Bulgarian State Railroad Company (BDZ) has announced it will add more wagons to 216 trains going on major routes across the country during the holidays.

More than 17,000 additional places will be available in trains on the busiest routes in the period December 23,2010 – January 3, 2011.

Because of the increased interest for traveling on the routes Sofia-Burgas and Sofia-Varna, the fast trains with required reservations, Burgas Weekend and Varna Weekend, will operate on December 23, 25, 30 and January 1.

Burgas Weekend will also operate on its route Sofia-Burgas on Decem,ber 24, 31.

There will be an increase in the number of fast trains that will operate during the holidays – a total of 126 fast trains and 90 fast trains with required reservations.

BDZ reminded that a round-trip ticket could be bought with 10-30% discount, depending on the specific travel offer of the company.
