Bulgaria's Minister of Economy Traicho Traikov will participate in the 6th sitting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation with Ukraine Monday and Tuesday.
During the forum, topics such as the bilateral cooperation between Bulgaria and Ukraine in the spheres of economy, energy, tourism, standardization and metrology, the opportunities for attracting foreign investments and others.
Traikov will meet his Ukrainian counterpart Vasil Tsushko and Energy Minister Yuriy Boyko Representatives of Ukrainian companies, which have Bulgarian partners, as well as Bulgarian businessmen working in Ukraine will participate in the meeting.
He will also have talks with representatives of the 225 000 Bulgarians who live in Ukraine.
Ukraine is a crucial economic partner of Bulgaria, but the mutual turnover has dropped with 59.6% in 2009 and with a further 3.3% in 2010. The Bulgarian export to Ukraine, however, has increased with USD 138.7 M, or with 40% in 2010.
Energy and tourism are the most vital economic sectors for cooperation between the two countries
