Bulgaria’s Prime Minister Boyko Borisov will open Wednesday the Bulgarian Economic Forum in Sofia’s National Palace of Culture.
The forum will continue until November 25. It will focus on the factors for economic growth in Bulgaria in the next decade.
Organizers of the event are the Bulgarian Economy Ministry, Labor Ministry, Ministry of Regional Development, Invest Bulgaria Agency and the Representation of the European Commission in Bulgaria.
Participants in the forum will discuss the challenges in the absorption of EU funds, Bulgaria’s strategy for the new program period of the EU, 2014-2020, the priorities for 2011 on energy, waste management, the current state and prospects for the road projects in Bulgaria and the region, the investment climate in Bulgaria, broadband communications, quality and safety of foods.
Among the lecturers will be Tomislav Donchev, Bulgaria’s Minister on EU Funds, Foreign Minister Nikolay Mladenov, Lilyana Pavlova, Deputy Minister on Regional Development, Boryana Pencheva, Deputy Finance Minister, Krasimir Popov, Deputy Labor Minister, Parvan Rusinov, Deputy Transport Minister.
