Three Bulgarian policemen ended up with injuries after they attempted to restrain a drunken driver racing about the narrow streets in downtown Sofia.
The three officers suffered various light head injuries, reports TV channel Pro.bg. Two of them have already been released by the hospital, while the third is still under medical care.
The recless drunk driver had already wrecked two cars parked in the narrow streets near Sofia's Central Marketplace (Zhenski Pazar).
Driving at full speed, he then hit on a police car at the Tzar Simeon - Knyaz Boris I intersection, causing injuries to the three officers riding in it.
After the ensuing race, the delinquent was finally detained and manifested a remarkable 2.71 promilles of blood alcohol content. Apparently he screamed he "loves" Bulgarian police and "would die for it."
Police checks revealed the person had a previous crime record for robbery.
