The US Ambassador to Sofia, James Warlick, is meeting Wednesday with the leader of the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) and former Prime Minister, Sergey Stanishev.

The information is reported by the BSP press center.

The meeting comes on the heels of talks between Warlick and the right-wing Blue Coalition, a month ago.

The meeting, held at the Socialist headquarters on "Positano 20" in downtown Sofia, comes in the personal request of the American Ambassador, the Bulgarian daily "Dnevnik" reports.

Topics on the agenda include the current situation in Bulgaria and the role of young Bulgarians in politics.
