A weak earthquake with a 3.0-magnitude on the Richter scale has been detected near the Bulgarian capital on Tuesday.

The quake hit at 1:17 pm, with an epicenter at 35 km away from Sofia, near the town of Slivnitsa.

Last week, a series of earthquakes were detected in Northeastern Bulgaria, the strongest of which had a magnitude of 4,2 on the Richter scale.
