A passenger jet of the Swedish company Primera Air has made an emergency landing at Bulgaria's Varna Airport.

The charter Boeing 737 with 150 people on board was traveling from Stockholm to Larnaca, Cyprus, when it had to land in Varna, announced the press center of the Varna Airport.

At about 11:45 am on Friday the flight attendants received information about smoke rising from the back part of the left wing of the jet.

The Varna Airport mobilized all available emergency, firefighting, and medical units in anticipation of the landing but the Primera plane landed without any problems.

All passengers have been taken safely to Terminal 1 of the airport, where they will remain as the technical examination of the plan lasts.
