The Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) will not accept the fact that the people have to pay for the incompetence of the ruling party GERB, the BSP leader Sergey Stanishev has announced.
His statement was made Saturday at the traditional congregation of the Bulgarian socialists in the Koprivkite area near the city of Plovdiv.
The socialists' leader and former Prime Minister claimed that more than 100 000 Bulgarian households are suffering because of the incompetence of the GERB cabinet.
"We have to show that the GERB time is over and that BSP is becoming a more clear and fierce opposition," Stanishev said.
According to him, more of the MPs are in conflict of interests and benefit their relatives. He also added that the ordinary people are the power of BSP and that they should be protected from the government's mistakes.
Officials from the Bulgarian Socialist Party have announced that more than 5000 of their supporters have gathered at the Koprivkite area.
They also stated that Stanishev will meet Saturday with the chairs of the municipal councils of BSP from the Plovdiv area. Later, he will visit the town of Hissar and meet representatives of the municipal structure.
