Bulgaria's top male tennis player Grigor Dimitrov has reached the semifinals at the ATP Challenger tennis championship in Geneva, Switzerland.

At the quarterfinal match of the EUR 30,000 tournament, Dimitrov defeated the French Laurent Rochette in straight sets 6-1, 6-4.

The match was supposed to end Friday but was delayed for Saturday due to the rainy weather. The next match Dimitrov will have to play later today. He will face the winner of the match between Jonathan Eysseric from France and David Goffin from Belgium, who currently rank 365 and 301 respectively..

For reaching the semifinals, the 19-year-old Bulgarian gained 29 ATP ranking points which would rank him at about 220th position.

At the beginning of the week, Dimitrov ranked 245th in the ATP ranking, which was an improvement of his own record.
