King Charles III Diagnosed with Cancer, Postpones Public Duties
Buckingham Palace has announced that Britain's King Charles III has been diagnosed with a form of cancer
The Bulgarian Health Minister has stated that a problem in the country is not the lack of ambulance cars, but the deficiency of doctors.
“There are 198 centers for emergency medical care in the whole country. We have emergency cars, we do not have doctors,” the Health Minister Anna-Maria Borisov said Friday in an interview for the Bulgarian private TV channel bTV.
She has explained that doctors leave Bulgarian because they do are not satisfied with their work and they do not feel respected by the society or the media in the country. B
Borisova has rhetorically asked why do the media never talk about the doctors' achievements or the lives they have saved.
The health minister has also stated that a national problem in the country is the lack of high-quality equipment for diagnosing cancer.
“Doctors in Europe are able to diagnose cancer early because they have the needed tools. We will make 2-3 centers for radiotherapy because at the moment, our equipment is old. But cancer will not wait for the renovation of the equipment,” Borisova said.
She has added that the country needs to have an excellent apparatuses in order to be able to provide an adequate help to the patients.
“Our system is sick, our health care is sick and we need to find a cure,” she said.
The Bulgarian health minister has also added that patients should not forget that except for rights, they also have obligations and should not refuse treatment.
According to Borisova, some clauses from the Public Procurement Act, regarding medicines, should change, so that patients are not affected by the ministry's inability to provide some medicines.
