Bulgaria's PM Boyko Borisov will decide Tuesday who will replace Lachezar Ivanov as Deputy-Speaker of the Parliament.

The GERB MPs Anastas Anastasov, Krasimir Tsipov and Zhivko Todorov are some of the candidates. The co-chairs of GERB Krasimir Velchev and Todor Dimitrov have also been considered for the vacant position.

However, members of the ruling party have expressed doubt that their leader will decide to ruin the current balance in the party by choosing one of the co-chairs. They have also noted that the names of all the candidates are only suggestions because, in their words, Borisov has the final word .

They have expressed their suggestions why the candidates have been chosen. According to them, Tsipov and Todorov would be good for the position because they are young, active and their names are clean.

Tsipov is currently Deputy-Chair of the internal commission and Todorov is a member of the GERB leadership and Deputy-Chair of the external commission. According to GERB members, the Chair of the internal Parliamentary commission, Anastas Anastasov, was also trustworthy.

After Borisov announces his decision on Tuesday, the replacement will be passed through the Parliament on Wednesday.

The Chair of the Parliament Tsetska Tsacheva said last week that on Wednesday will be announced the name of the person, who will replace Lachezar Ivanov.

He resigned after it was made public that he tried to stop a reportage by the Bulgarian Nova TV, showing the good life of a customs officer, who was his friend.

Ivanov has also resigned as a Chair of the Health Commission and Chief of the Sofia headquarters of the ruling party GERB. His place in the Commission is expected to be taken by one of its members Daniela Daritkova and Andrei Ivanov, Chair of the Sofia municipality, is considered to be the new Chief of the Sofia headquarters of GERB.

Another two GERB members, involved in a lobbyist scandal, Svetlin Tanchev and Plamen Tsekov, will also be discussed at the meeting Tuesday. They have been proposed for dismissal of their leading positions in commissions due to their attempt to put an illegitimate amendment to the drugs law in the State Gazette.

The dismissal of the two has been requested by Rumen Ivanov, head of the ad hoc body, which was formed to probe the case and come up with a ruling.

According to unofficial information, the PM Boyko Borisov has also supported the request for the dismissal.

Currently, Tanchev is chair of the European Affairs parliamentary commission and Tsekov is deputy chair of the Health Commission.
