Exciting News: Opening of Varna's New Central Bus Station in May

Around 70 young journalists from 26 EU member states participate in the “Assembly of youth media organizations in Europe” in the Bulgarian Black Sea city of Varna, which opened on Sunday.
The forum is organized by the Youth Media Network Association, in cooperation with the “European Youth Press” association and Association of Bulgarian Broadcasters (ABRO). It will take place July 3-9 and will gather 70 journalists in the age of 18-28-year old.
The Assembly is financed by the EC program “Youth in action” with an administrative center in Bulgaria’s National Center in the Education Ministry “European Youth Programs and Initiatives”.
The forum will be under the patronage of the Head of the Representation of the European Commission to Bulgaria, Zanaida Zlatanova, and the mayor of Varna, Kiril Yordanov.
Bulgaria’s Deputy Minister of Education, Petya Evtimova, will open the assembly with the topic “The role of the media in the fight with youth unemployment issues”.
Leading European Youth Media like Orangeblog, Youthmedia.eu, Café Babel, Indigo Magazine and Journal Europa will provide live stream of the event.
The young journalists will discuss with experts, working in the sphere of youth policies and employment, the following topics: youth unemployment in Europe, is education relevant to the young people’s interests and the requirements of the employers, and the media between young and business.
The results of the discussion will be summarized in a special resolution, which will include recommendations on the media’s participation in the process of limiting youth unemployment in Europe.
Through the central office of the European Youth Press the document will go to Andrula Vassiliu, EU Commissioner for Education, Culture, Multilingualism and Youth, and to Laszlo Andor, EU Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion.
