Bulgaria: Young Woman was Brutally Shot in Blagoevgrad
The incident happened in one of the parks in Elenovo district. At that time, there were no mothers with children in the playgrounds
Bulgaria’s interior minister has described as “brutal” and “aggressive” the shooting against Yurij Galev and has vowed to hunt down those behind the assassination attempt.
“This is a very brutal, aggressive and arrogant attack, one of those acts, which should not be allowed. We should do our best to track down and arrest the shooters,” Minister Tsvetan Tsvetanov announced, but pointed out that Galev himself has been involved in schemes for burglaries and blackmail.
The minister specified that the shooting took place at about 4 am, when Galev was on his way home.
Doctors say his condition is critical and his life is in danger, after being shot with five bullets.
Galev is notorious in Samokov for a number of criminal acts. The latest one was in February when Galev and several of his associates beat two ski lift guards in the Borovets mountain resort after the latter refused to let his son ride the lift for free.
In the wake of this incident, the local police arrested four of Galev's men for arson of an office of the Borosport firm, which operates the ski lift.
