The information that a Romanian Court has sentenced to twelve and a half years of jail time Bulgarian national Petar Zikulov, who is charged with espionage for the Ukraine, is not yet confirmed.

The news was announced by the Bulgarian National Radio, BNR, Saturday, citing their correspondent in Bucharest.

The information cannot be found among the official documents of the Romanian Supreme Court and has not been given to the defendants, according to BNR. An eventual public court trial on the case and the announcement of the verdict are expected some time next week, the BNR correspondent further reports.

The news comes in the heels of media reports Friday that Zikulov had been sentenced in Romania.
