The national teams of Cote d’Ivoire and Portugal failed to score any goals in their first 2010 World Cup game.

Despite the availability of much-praised attackers, including Portugal’s star striker Christiano Ronaldo, both teams proved skilled at defense ending the match at the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Nelson Mandela Bay/Port Elizabeth in a 0:0 draw.

Second game of Group G is late Tuesday between Brazil and North Korea.
