Hristo Stoichkov With Debut Romantic Song
On February 14th, the debut song of football star Hristo Stoichkov was released
Hristo Stoichkov, the legendary Bulgarian football player from the 1990 's, has adopted a Peruvian boy, he announced in an interview for the Peruvian TV channel RPP.
Stoichkov, who is serving as a 2010 World Cup commentator for the Mexican sport channel Televisa Deportes Network, gave the interview Monday in South Africa.
The former coach of the Bulgarian national team announced that he has adopted a Peruvian boy 9 year ago. The procedure happened through a Spanish agency that has helped other former football player from the Spanish “Barcelona” adopt children as well.
Stoichkov said he believed that money is not as important as the love and opportunities he can give to the boy.
The news was welcomed with great excitement by Peruvian journalists who gave him a small hand-made wooden bottle with a high-level alcohol drink as a present.
In the interview for RPP Stoichkov said there are no front-runners in the 2010 World Cup.
“I do not think there are front-runners because many of them will not succeed. Football is becoming more competitive with every single day. There are 32 teams in the World Cup and all of them are trying to get as far as possible,” he said.
Stoichkov added that the Spanish national team has been very successful in the past 4-5 years, followed by Argentina, England, and Italy. He said he believed the African teams will also give many reasons to be talked about.
