After performing in the second semi-final, Bulgarian pop star Miro with his song “Angel” has failed to qualify for the final of the Eurovision Song Contest.

The ten countries of the 17 participants in the second semi-final, which qualified for the final on May 29, Saturday, are Georgia, Ukraine, Turkey, Israel, Ireland, Cyprus, Azerbaijan, Romania, Armenia, Denmark.

They will compete in the final with Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Serbia, Moldova, Russia, Belarus, Portugal, Iceland, and Belgium, which qualified from the first semi-final two days ago, as well as with France, Germany, Spain, Britain and Eurovision 2009 winner Norway, which all have a right to direct participation in the final under the new rules of the contest.

Bulgaria’s Miro performed his song "Angel" under number 13. Bulgaria, together with Lithuania, Sweden, Switzerland, Croatia, the Netherlands, and Slovenia, failed to make it to the final.

Thursday's night semi-final was televized live across Europe from the Telenor Arena in Oslo, Norway. The results were based on the vote in 20 countries (the 17 participating nations plus France, Germany and Spain from the five prequalified finalists), split between 50:50 between televote and jury.
