The Sofia City Prosecutor's Office has charged former Agriculture Minister from the previous Three-Way Coalition cabinet, Valeri Tsvetanov, with abuse of power.

Tsvetanov, who was minister from the quota of the ethnic Turkish party Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS), is accused of depriving the State budget of BGN 200 000.

The first act involves Tsvetanov's signing of orders to allow land swaps even after a moratorium has been imposed on them, leading to waste of property he has been responsible for.

The second involves criminal recklessness in overlooking his duty to conduct the common State policy in the agriculture sector and manage the Ministry's assets.

On Sunday, Prime Minister, Boyko Borisov, stated half of the ministers from the former cabinet are being probed for criminal acts, in addition to have lied to Bulgarians during their entire term.
