German high school seniors opened Monday the summer season at Bulgaria's largest sea resort "Sunny Beach."

The students arrived at the airport of the Black Sea city of Burgas on a charter flight from Frankfurt.

The popularity of “Sunny Beach” among German high school seniors continues to grow in the last few years while over 50% of all expected tourists at the resort will be from Germany this summer season, the “Sunny Beach” CEOs report, adding the interest on the part of German visitors is constantly expanding.

The “Sunny Beach” management is optimistic about summer 2010 and, in addition to Germany, expects more tourists from Israel, Russia, Poland, Romania, Belgium, the Netherlands and Moldova.

The forecast is for 5% more tourists compared to the summer of 2009.
