Sofia Airport has reported that regular flights have been resumed to some European destinations including Vienna, Prague and Bucharest.

It was confirmed at 20:10 Monday evening that Bulgarian air space is fully open following the major disruption caused by the volcanic ash cloud over the weekend.

Despite the gradual normalization of air traffic to/from Sofia Airport, 15 arriving and 14 departing flights have been canceled.

The daily flights of Lufthansa from Frankfurt, Munich and Dusseldorf will not run but Sofia Airport expects that those scheduled for this evening will take off.

The flights of Wizz Air to/from Brussels, as well as those of Bulgaria Air and British Airways to/from London, Easy Jet – to/from London, Madrid and Milan, and those of LOT to Warsaw and Air France’s flight to Paris are canceled.
