Several dozens of flights that were supposed to arrive to Sofia Airport on Saturday have been canceled over the cloud from the Iceland volcano ash.

Only four flights have landed in Sofia so far on Saturday – from Athens, Varna, Moscow, and Rome. One more inbound flight, Mardrid-Sofia, is expected to arrive later on Saturday – at 16:34.

Inbound flights from Istanbul, Larnaca, Vienna, Barcelona, and Valencia, which are scheduled to arrive late Saturday evening are also expected but their status has not been confirmed yet.
