Greek SMEs Hold Forum in Sofia to Boost Bulgaria Ties

A total of 35 firms from the region of Serres in Northern Greece have participated in a business delegation to Bulgaria’s Sofia.

The forum brought together small and medium-sized enterprises from Greece and Bulgaria, including Bulgarian firms with Turkish participation, in order to spur trans-border partnerships and business connections.

The majority of the Greek companies from the region of Serres which were representative in Sofia Friday are active in one or several of the following sectors: construction, food, furniture, textile, metal works, car parts.

The forum was organized by the Office of Economic and Commercial Questions of the Embassy of the Republic of Greece in Sofia and the Commercial and Industrial Chamber of Serres.

According to the Chamber, some 500 Greek firms from the Serres region have business connections with Bulgaria, while about 200 Bulgarian companies are active in Serres.
