Bulgaria's prime minister has demanded for a check of contracts, signed during the term of the previous government without secured financing.
In the words of Boyko Borisov the contracts, signed in the period 2007-2009 by the Socialist-led cabinet of Sergey Stanishev, are the major reason for the delay in payments from the state to the business, the press office of the prime minister said in an statement.
The check will also include annexes to contracts, won in public procurement tenders, which obliges the state to pay more than the bid of the winner, such as the contract for the construction of Lyulin highway, whose costs increased more than three times over a period of five years.
