The number of Brits purchasing real estate property abroad is going down drastically according to a joint study conducted by the global real estate service provider Savills and HomeAway.co.uk.

The repost shows that about 43 000 properties around the globe belong to UK citizens, the Bulgarian information agency BTA informs Saturday.

In 2009, however, the number of Brits purchasing abroad is down 80% over the financial and economic crisis.

Purchases in exotic locations such as Cabo Verde, Bulgaria and Egypt are now a thing of the past, according to the company experts.

The report points out that UK citizens will turn again to the traditional destinations - Spain, Portugal, Italy and the US.

It can't be so difficult for SNA to at least properly cut and paste from their sources. But for this famous agency even this seems to be too difficult a task.

The original 'repost' (report) shows that 430 000 (not 43 000) holiday houses (not properties in general) are owned by UK citizens around the globe.

What do you make of the Bulgarian Formula 1-gate involving the Abu Dhabi company EABG?
It demonstrates the total incompetence of the Bulgarian state administration.

It is a plot on part of certain people trying to extort money from the Abu Dhabi company.

It is a attempt to establish a Formula 1 facility with foreign money in order to serve the interests of certain circles in Bulgaria.

It is a genuine attempt to find a proper foreign investor for a Formula 1 facility in Bulgaria which ran into trouble because of misunderstandings.
