The village of Chernookovo in the Dobrich region of Bulgaria was rocked by a horrifying incident that left the community reeling in disbelief and outrage
Pavel Naydenov, father and grandfather of murdered Bulgarian Slavka Naydenova, sister of killed Bulgarian tycoon Iliya Pavlov, and her son, 8-year-old Paul Wilson has spoken of his grief.
Naydenov told local journalists that he had failed to do the main duty of a father – to protect his own children. He also added that no one should link the murder of his daughter in the US in a personal fight on Monday with the assassination of his son in Sofia in 2003 and that Darina Pavlova - the wife of Iliya - was also not linked in any way.
Pavel added that Slavka will be buried alongside her mother in the Bulgarian village Mirovyane, near Sofia.
The police announced that the victims were killed by stabbing. The murder happened Monday night in Naydenova’s home in Dale City, Virginia. 47-year-old Russian Natalia Wilson has been charged with committing the double murder.
Natalia Wilson is the current wife of Lester Wilson with whom Naydenova is divorced. She is believed to have had an accomplice because it is unclear how she left the crime scene.
Slavka Naydenova is the sister of Iliya Pavlov – Bulgarian billionaire with murky past, founder and President of the Multigroup Corporation, who was shot dead in Sofia on March 8, 2003.
Naydenova is reported to have met her current husband – Filip Nikolov – at the funeral of her brother. Nikolov used to be one of the bodyguards of Iliya Pavlov. He currently works in the US as a janitor. Naydenova’s second husband is not a suspect.
