Bulgaria: 2 UK Women Lost near Bulgaria Mountain Resort Pamporovo

Two women from the UK have been searched for by the Bulgarian Mountain Rescue Service near the resort of Pamporovo.

The search started late Saturday night after a phone call at the emergency number 112 by two British women who said they were lost.

The search for them produced no results, and the mobile phone they called from ran out of battery when the rescuers tried to reach them. The two are believed to have gotten lost near the Stoykite ski track.

A representative of the Mountain Rescue Service in Smolyan said the search might be discontinued over doubts as it failed to produce any results. He is cited as saying that the two most likely found their way as the rescuers found no traces of them. The local police have also been involved in the search.
