Bulgaria Social and Labor Minister, Totyu Mladenov, has stated that people with disabilities will receive their delayed integration payments after the New Year.

Mladenov explained that BGN 4-5 M had not been paid on time due to funds not being transferred before Christmas from the treasury. He however confirmed that the main social benefits were all paid before Christmas.

Mladenov added that only part of the integration payments had been processed in the SEBRA (System for Electronic Budget Payments), but people will receive them immediately after the New Year.

The Government confirmed that state workers who have gone on to a part-time working schedule who were previously full-time will continue to receive compensation for an extra 4 months. BGN 3 M has been made available to help a total of 6250 people.
