Bulgaria Police have cordoned off a branch of Raiffeisen Bank in the Sofia neighborhood ‘Druzhba-2’ following an attempted robbery, the Interior ministry confirmed Tuesday.
The incident occurred at the Raiffeisen branch on Tzvetan Lazarov Boulevard. Sofia Police Commissioner Valery Yordanov said that the robbers left the scene without stealing any money.
The Interior Ministry's press office earlier stated that the CCTV showed that the robbers entered the bank but failed to take any money.
These incidents follow a wave of armed robberies across the country on Monday.
