The famous Bulgarian cartoonist Tsvetan Tsekov - Karandasha, has gone missing, his son reported on Monday.

Tsekov is reported to have been missing since December 12, 2009 at about 21:00 and since then no sign of him has been reported..

Chief Secretary of the Interior Ministry, Kalin Georgiev, said he had ordered for the artist to be searched for by contacting hospitals. The police are now also searching for him after he was

85-year-old Tsekov went missing straight after holding an exhibition on Friday night.

As a founding member of the editorial board of the ‘Starshel’ newspaper, Tzvetan Tsekov regularly publishes themed political cartoons. He has been awarded many times all over the world for his art.
