A 25-year-old man was shot in the head in Bulgaria’s Pernik late Friday but doctors report he is currently in a stable condition in hospital.

Petar Krumov aka Pupi received one gunshot wound to the face after coming under fire outside a cafe at 21:00 Friday evening in the Moshino neighborhood of Pernik.

The local police reported that they are currently investigating the incident and have not made any arrests, Darik Radio reported.

Krumov is a convicted criminal and his name has been associated with the murder in February last year of mafia boss Nikolay Hristov aka Hayo. He is also reported to be close to other dugs mafia bosses such as Zlatomir Ivanov aka Baretata (the Barret).
