PM Borisov: At Least 60 Hospitals in Bulgaria Offer Quality Care

Bulgaria PM Boyko Borisov has pledged that hospitals that meet the state criteria for quality of treatment will be maintained and developed to European standards.
Borisov, speaking at the inauguration of two renovated clinics in the Military Medical Academy in Sofia, said that the center-right GERB government had made BGN 5 M available for the buying of new hospital apparatus and the renovation of the Bulgarian Medical Association building.
According to Borisov Bulgaria currently has at least 60 hospitals that provide quality care.
Borisov concluded by adding how the hospitals can be improved; "With the most modern equipment, many more patients can be treated. They will also help the diagnosis stage - when accuracy is critical. The number of transplants has also increased in recent times. We must continue in the same way."
