The governments of Russia and Serbia are holding serious negotiations for the construction of a nuclear plant on Serbian territory as a joint project.

This has been announced by the Russian Ambassador in Belgrade, Aleksandr Konuzin during a visit to the city of Novi Sad in the Vojvodina autonomous region, as cited by local TV stations.

The Russian Ambassador has also declared his country’s readiness to participate in the construction of hydro power facilities in Serbia, which recently signed an agreement for a hydro facility with Germany and Italy.
