The US Tax authorities attached a lien on the assets of California Governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger, DPA reports, citing the TMZ.com celebrity gossip site.

According to documents filed in LA County Superior Court, Arnold Schwarzenegger owes the US Internal Revenue Services (IRS) USD 39,047 from 2004 and USD 40,016 from 2005.

In total the Governor owes USD 79,064.00. An official at the LA County Recorder's Office is quoted as telling TMZ their system shows the lien is still active.

This is the latest in series of reported violations surrounding the Governor, whose term expires this year. Last week he was seen parking his Porsche in a “red zone” in Beverly Hlls while his wife, Maria Shriver, was caught several times lately driving and talking on her cell phone.
