Hit Bulgarian Movie Wins Its 21st International Award

The hit 2008 Bulgarian movie "The World Is Big and Salvation Lurks around the Corner" won Sunday the grand prix at the Listopad Festival in Belarusian capital Minsk.
Thus, movie of director Stefan Komandarev, which is based on the novel of Bulgarian-German writer Iliya Troyanov (Ilija Trojanow), and is co-produced with Slovenia, Germany and Hungary, won its 21st international award, including four best film awards.
Over the recent week, "The World Is Big and Salvation Lurks around the Corner" was presented in Serbia, and was met with acclaim. It is currently the first Bulgarian movie to be shown in movie theaters in Serbia in the last 20 years.
