Eight Bulgarians have been detained in a joint operation of EUROPOL and the police services of Austria, Bulgaria, and Poland.

Bulgaria’s Interior Minister, Tsvetan Tsvetanov, announced that two Bulgarians had been arrested in Poland and six in the southern Bulgarian cities of Plovdiv, Yambol, and Burgas over an organized scheme for stealing credit card information of Polish and Austrian citizens.

The police have confiscated 10 laptops with special software and other equipment for copying credit card information. The investigation of the organized crime group took two months.
