Bulgarian Socialist Party Leader Sergey Stanishev has alerted to irregularities in the Sofia Municipality contract for the Metro construction between ‘Obelya’ and ‘Nadezhda’.

Stanishev confirmed that BSP would not be sending a signal to the Prosecutor’s Office because the competent authorities would have to take action at their own initiative.

"There is a quite obvious tolerance for companies who have no experience in building a subway. Even the preliminary stage of the tender did everything possible for the companies who have experience in the construction of a metro to be removed from the process.” Stanishev said.

He added that the winning bid of BGN 53 M was accepted in front of bids for BGN 50 M from more experienced construction companies.

Executive Director of Metropolitan Ltd, Stoyan Bratoev, replied by saying that Stanishev’s comments were "absolutely tendentious."

Is there no end to the “try to cover up” by the elite children of ZK of BKP.
It is pathetic to see and listen to the allegation from people who embraced the corruption and who threw this nation and its citizen to a history low, even by banana republic measure standard means. Even if I’m a guest in Bulgaria for 19 years and paying the maximum tax, so does my company, even if “advisors” asks me why, I DO CARE ABOUT BULGARIA, Let’s get Bulgaria to work.
Sad is to see that you Bulgarians don’t. It is getting harder and harder to listen to the weaning and the theory of conspiracy No 3829 “ Bate Boyko is actually a KGB or better GRU informer that only wants to send all of you to Bellene Lager to build a free of charge power-plat. Enough Bulgarians, the time has come to become real Europeans, as You always have been whatever you think. There are a lot of people out there who belive that you, Bulgarians, are real OK and nice to work and live with. Love you.

This kind of dirty slamming takes place before the elections, not after. Usually, after the elections the government--such as it is--finds a way to get over it and move on, move forward to advance the business of government. I don't see how anyone can do a lick of work under these conditions. Everyone is watching his back, careful not to do anything or sign anything that might get him/her in trouble and cause him to lose his cushy job. That's NO way to govern a country. Sram i pozor. Boyko should fire the whole parliament, all the existing politicians and bureaucrats and start fresh.

What is the most important conclusion from the Sofia Mayor elections on November 15, 2009?
That the ruling party GERB of PM Borisov continues to be hugely popular, whereas the Socialists are pretty much out.

That the decline of the Socialist Party has stopped whereas the ruling party GERB has failed to attract the expected very high number of voters.

That the Sofia residents are either completely disillusioned with politics, or care little about who is Mayor.

That the record-high jackpot of the Bulgarian State Lottery "Toto" generated much greater interest than the Mayor elections.
