Bulgaria Delays Trial against CSKA Ex-President Tomov

The Sofia City Court has postponed the trial against former CEO of “Kremikovtzi” steel mill and CSKA Sofia football club Alexander Tomov until December 10.
The Court said the reason for the postponement was that one of the judges was ill. The Court has been heard Tomov accuse former Minister of Economy and Energy, Petar Dimitrov, had pressured prosecutors to initiate proceedings against him when the trail resumed on October 20.
Previously, in May, the Sofia City Court also postponed proceedings against Tomov, that time because he was officially registered by to run at the parliamentary elections.
Tomov is currently indicted for document fraud and embezzlement of over EUR 5 M from CSKA football club and BGN 29 M from the „Kremikovtzi" steel mill.
If proven guilty, Tomov and the other three defendants face between 10 and 20 years behind bars.
