Bulgaria's former Prime Minister Sergey Stanishev received two classified reports of the Interior Ministry in the fall of 2005, and has failed to return them since.
This has been announced Tuesday by the Interior Minister, Tsvetan Tsvetanov, saying, “We have established that these two reports are missing.”
Tsvetanov declared the he would approach the Prosecutor's Office, because although Stanishev signed that he had received them, he had still not returned the classified reports.
The secret documents relate to customs violations and contraband, and to the UN "Oil for Food" program for Iraq.
Bulgaria’s present Prime Minister, Boyko Borisov, has hinted there may be even more of these classified reports that have inexplicably disappeared.
