"nice places to drink coffee in the center, the number of non-stop pharmacies"

These are the Bulgarian criteria for quality of life? Places to drink coffee and the possibility to get Aspirin at any time?!?!

lol

Actually non-stop pharmacies are quite important, but I agree some of the criteria seemed a little too much about wining and dining. Interesting that there's no "healthy living" section. Is that because they would all score 0???

Hey, whatever happened to Plovdiv and Veliko Turnovo? Russe is the most beautiful city? Shows how little taste the jury has. Veliko Turnovo is hands down the most beautiful city in Bulgaria. Plovdiv has nothing to recommend it? Not even archeological remains?

Turnovo is bad value and tacky these days: full of billboards, kitsch and expensive bar restuarants, empty banks and real estate offices, pawn shops 4 sex shops!

What is the most important conclusion from the Sofia Mayor elections on November 15, 2009?
That the ruling party GERB of PM Borisov continues to be hugely popular, whereas the Socialists are pretty much out.

That the decline of the Socialist Party has stopped whereas the ruling party GERB has failed to attract the expected very high number of voters.

That the Sofia residents are either completely disillusioned with politics, or care little about who is Mayor.

That the record-high jackpot of the Bulgarian State Lottery "Toto" generated much greater interest than the Mayor elections.
