The police in the Danube city of Silistra reported Tuesday the latest case of school violence where a 16-year-old boy suffered broken ribs.
The report comes on the heels of two other cases of student aggression occurring in the course of just one week. Last Monday a student from the Black Sea capital Varna died after a fight with a classmate when his head hit a concrete sidewalk while a student from Sofia suffered severe knife cuts inflicted by another boy over an argument about a girl.
The latest incident happened Monday around 5:30 pm at the home of the injured youth, who is reported as living alone because his mother works in Germany and his father is estranged. The boy had guests over the house but the party ended with blows after an argument over an earlier fight.
There are three reported cases of youth violence in the Danube city since the beginning of the year.
