UN General Assembly Opens in New York
The UN General Assembly High-Level week - a general political discussion with the participation of heads of states, governments and ministries - kicked off in the UN headquarters in New York on Tuesday.

Bulgaria's Foreign Minister, Rumiana Jeleva, is in New York Sunday where she will participate in the 64th session of the UN General Assembly.
Jeleva, who leads the Bulgarian official delegation, will speak to the Assembly on September 26. On September 22, she is taking part in a debate dedicated to climate change.
Jeleva will also take part in other meetings during the General Assembly such as the issues related to nuclear disarmement and meetings between the EU foreign ministers, the US Secretary of State, and the Russian Foreign Minister.
The Foreign Affairs Minister will also have bilateral meetings with several of her counterparts from all over the world.
Jeleva is invited to the grand opening reception on September 23, hosted by US President, Barack Obama, and will meet in person the US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, at the Transatlantic dinner and at the breakfast for women leaders organized by the former First Lady.
In addition, Bulgaria's top diplomat is going to deliver a lecture at Center for the Study of the EU at the City University of New York titled; "Bulgarian Foreign Policy in the Context of the EU Foreign and Security Policy."
